Gerber & Holder is pleased to announce that founding attorney Tom Holder was singled out by Best Lawyers for being one of the “best” in his field of workers’ compensation in 2023. Best Lawyers states on their website that “we believe the best lawyers know who the best lawyers are—it’s our founding principle and remains unchanged for more than four decades.”
Over those four decades, more than 140,000 attorneys have been recognized as “the best of the best” by 13 million evaluations conducted by their attorney peers in 76 countries around the world.
Attorney Tom Holder has practiced law in Georgia for nearly 40 years after earning his law degree from Emory University School of Law, and he has racked up an impressive list of honors, awards and accomplishments. He’s also been active in the community by volunteering his time to various causes and offering his legal services pro bono.
“It is always an honor to be selected for Best Lawyers recognition,” said Holder. “While, of course, the most important thing is to provide the best service and results that we can to our Georgia Workers’ Compensation clients, it is nice to be recognized by Best Lawyers. This will continue to motivate me to provide the service for which Gerber & Holder is known.”
Co-founding member attorney Ben Gerber also expressed his admiration for Holder’s work, saying, “Tom is a fantastic advocate for injured workers and is well deserving of this award having represented those hurt at work in Georgia for over 40 years.”
Best Lawyers methodology and process
Recognition by Best Lawyers is based entirely on peer review. Their methodology is designed to capture, as accurately as possible, the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area.
According to Best Lawyers, they “employ a sophisticated, conscientious, rational, and transparent survey process designed to elicit meaningful and substantive evaluations of the quality of legal services. Our belief has always been that the quality of a peer review survey is directly related to the quality of the voters.”
